My Insane Fears (And the Reasons Behind Them), Part 0.25:

In case you’re wondering, this topic came from a long strand of recent thoughts and I figured that this would be a good thing to expand on.

So, I have a few fears that you might deem as “irrational,” but hear me out. I’d say that I have pretty good reasons behind a few of them.

This first one isn’t exactly a fear. It’s the reason that I don’t like to that kind of frightens me. A bit of background on me is that I can sing. Really well, according to quite a few people. The thing is I’d love to sing for people if it weren’t for one thing; the fear behind it. Before I tell you, don’t judge me yet.

Here goes: I’m afraid that if I sing for people, someone will kidnap me, take me to a lair or a house or palace or something, lock me in a golden bird cage, and force me to sing for them like a cute, beautiful, little, canary bird:

(Not my picture, by the way.)

Don’t call me crazy, yet. Hear me out. Ever read the Molly Moon books and, in the second one, Davina Nuttel is kidnapped by Primo Cell and forced to sing for him? Or maybe this will enlighten things a bit. Oh, and look. It’s conveniently linked for you and it will open up in another tab:

That kind of adds to the fear. I might not be put into a bird cage, but worse a prince would want me around so that I could sing to him; someone like Hades who would literally sweep me off my feet and into his palace to be queen forevermore (Hehe. Forevermore. What a charming, little word.) The only setback for my fear is the Persephone is a ginger in this film. But you get the idea.

What’s more I’m apparently a very sweet girl, so how could I say no? And my hair. My hair is another thing. It’s a golden blonde and it shines in the light a lot. Sometimes I swear that it’s made of real gold. I told this to someone and she said that, if it was, she’d probably kidnap me. Plus I’ve been called adorable and cute/cutie. Think about it; adorable and cute are the epitome of youth and innocence.  I’m doomed. Doomed, I tell you. Doomed!

Still don’t think so? I was singing in the halls after school once and a senior mistook me for the girl who played the lead in our school musical “Guys and Dolls” and she has an absolutely beautiful singing voice. It’s like an angel’s. I’ve felt like she’s put me under a trance just from her singing. If people think that my voice is as beautiful and angelic as hers, then I’m a sure target for those who want those qualities.

On top of that, I entered a solo/ensemble contest and got a 36/40. That’s a superior. I got a superior and I’m only a freshman in high school. Who wouldn’t want someone with a voice that’s worth that high of a score?

Now I see the fault in this post. If anyone has the intentions to kidnap me as his/her singing pet “bird,” or make me their bride, then you don’t know where I live. Okay?
